Trusting in God's Wisdom: lean not on your own understanding...

In our busy lives, filled with endless distractions and noise, it's easy to overlook the steady anchor we all can depend on: God’s wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 offers powerful guidance, stating, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” This year, I have had the chance to truly embrace this message in a way that is continuously evolving. Instead of facing a crisis, my drive has come from a desire to deepen my faith and understanding of God.

Revisiting the basics of faith has been a refreshing experience. I listened to a podcast where the speaker highlighted the importance of trusting God's wisdom rather than solely relying on our own. Previously, I tended to pray only during challenging times, almost like a last resort. However, this year, my prayers have shifted from being reactionary to focused on cultivating a direct relationship with God. Instead of asking for specific things during difficult times, I now pray daily for clarity and understanding.

I am learning to surrender my plans, which is not easy. But I am working on not having the need to control the outcome. Instead, I now wait on His lead. Of course this journey is still a work in progress just like every part of my life, however now there is a sense of freedom with truly letting go and letting God.
